As stated in my previous blog, we are creating a web application for our P2 project, and how we going to make use of a micro web framework written in Python called Flask to create our web application.

First Step: Scrum Board

This is our scrum board. In this project, we decide to use Agile methodology, specifically Scrum, to facilitate in our development process. We have come up with various product backlogs, and allocate them into individual sprint. It seems that our product backlogs are very little now, but we will add in more product backlogs in the future, which shows the reason why we chose to use Agile methodology due to its flexibility to changes. As shown in the scrum board above, I will be responsible in doing the login and admin page, specifically the back-end work, in the upcoming sprint, which will be explained further later on.

Next Step: Learning......

This sprint is mainly for setting up the database, getting the logo for our product ready and learning the necessary skills. Since I am responsible in coding and managing the back-end of the website, I will be greatly involved in Flask. I am generally familiar in using Python, but Flask is totally new to me, thus I need to do some research and learning on my own.

Pro Tip: Corey Schafer is great at teaching how to use Flask! Its available on YouTube. If you ever want to learn more on Flask, you can check out the videos here!

Last but not least, our school organized a 3-day hackathon specially for this project, which will be the upcoming sprint, thus I need to learn Flask before the start of the hackathon. That's all for today! Stay tuned!
